Useful Firefox Addons for Web Designers
Filed mid-morning under General
I love being organized and efficient in my line of work. Part of what I do to achieve this is to have most tools that I use for my web development needs at my fingertips in one centralized location for easy access. This saves me a lot of time from searching through bookmarks for what I need at any given moment, which in turn gives me more time to focus on client’s projects for faster turn out. Below is a list of Firefox Addons which I use on a regular basis which I have found to be very helpful.
- Web Developer
- W3C CSS Validator
- CSS Viewer
- Firebug
- Fireshot
- Font Finder
- Google Toolbar for Firefox
- Html Validator
- W3C RSS Validator
- SEO for Firefox
- Stumbleupon
- Total Validator
- Undo Closed Tabs Button
- Sage
- IE Tab
- Pencil
- Read it Later
- Fast Dial
Honorable Mentions
Twitterfox, NoScript, PopupMaster, PDF Download, Download Them All, Adblock, WOT, Cooliris, Fast Video Download, Flagfox, LinkedIn Companion for Firefox.

A Refreshing Flash Animation
Filed the wee hours under General
PLAY: This is by far one of the coolest flash animation I have seen in a long time. It was created by Dustball of Dust Films. The beat is quite catchy too…you can’t help but watch this movie at least two times in a row.

Creating Newspaper with Photoshop
Filed evening under General
I recently created a dynamic EE CMS website for a client, and I stumbled upon this easy to follow, detailed, How to Create a Newspaper tutorial on 13dots. It came in pretty handy as I thought it would be a great idea to implement this element within the site’s homepage graphics design. Below is a sample of what my finished version of the newsprint looks like.

I will provide an update at a later time on what the finished design looks like as I am still in search of three particular elements that will tie into the design.
